Before you book.
The questions strangers ask most before getting in touch.
Once you book, the pre-shoot brief and confirmation emails cover the operational details — what to wear, where to park, what to expect on the day. This page is for everything that comes before that.

Booking & process.
01.How do I book a shoot?
Send an enquiry through the contact form or email hello@elitemedia.studio. We respond by the next business day with availability and a tailored proposal. Once you're happy with scope, an agreement is signed and a 50% booking fee locks your date in.
02.How far in advance should I book?
Most projects book two to three weeks ahead. Larger campaigns and multi-day shoots benefit from four to six weeks of lead time for proper pre-production. Last-minute and rush bookings are sometimes possible — get in touch and we'll see what's available.
03.What's a "booking fee"? Why 50%?
The booking fee is what locks your shoot date in our calendar and lets us start pre-production. It's 50% of the total project fee. The remaining 50% is due seven days before the shoot day. The booking fee is non-refundable but transferable to a rescheduled date if you give us more than 14 days' notice.
04.Can you fit my budget?
Pricing is structured and transparent — see the Packages page for the full breakdown. The studio's lowest entry point is $195 per person for team headshots, $395 for an individual headshot, and $1,400 for a half-day brand shoot. If your budget is tighter than these, get in touch and we'll discuss whether the scope can be adjusted, but the studio doesn't quote below structural floor rates.

Where & what we shoot.
05.Where is the studio?
By appointment only — near Roselands Shopping Centre, in Sydney's Canterbury-Bankstown area. The exact studio address is shared on booking confirmation. Easy access from the M5 Motorway, the Inner West, and most of South-West Sydney.
06.Do you shoot on-location?
Yes. The full studio rig packs down and travels — schools, dance studios, gyms, offices, construction sites, cafés, parks, your home, anywhere across Sydney. Travel within 30km of Roselands Shopping Centre is included; beyond that, travel is invoiced at cost and quoted upfront in the proposal.
07.What types of work do you do?
Brand and product photography, short-form video, corporate headshots, personal branding, family and milestone portraits, product photography, real estate, drone and aerial, event coverage. Different audiences, different briefs, same eye. See the Services page for the full list.
08.Will you travel outside Sydney?
For the right brief, yes. Travel beyond Sydney is quoted per project and includes transport, accommodation, and per-diem costs. Get in touch and we'll scope it out.

On the day.
09.What if it rains, or weather makes the shoot impossible?
If weather genuinely makes the agreed shoot location unworkable, we reschedule at no extra charge — that's a Force Majeure event in the agreement. If we can adapt (move indoors, shift timing, work with the weather), we'll do that and shoot anyway. The decision gets made on the day with you.
10.Can I bring my partner / kids / parents to the session?
Yes. The studio is set up for one-on-one work and small-group sessions both. If you want a partner along for moral support during a personal branding shoot, or grandparents at a family session, that's normal and welcome. Larger groups or additional subjects beyond the agreed scope may need a small adjustment to the package — flag it in the enquiry so we can scope properly.
11.Can I bring my dog?
For on-location sessions, yes — well-behaved dogs are welcome. For studio sessions, the studio's resident Ragdoll, Bello, lives onsite, so visiting dogs aren't suitable in the studio for both their comfort and his.

Files, rights & after the shoot.
12.How long until I get my photos?
Timeframes are scoped to the project — quick for headshots and short sessions, longer for full-day shoots and multi-day campaigns. The proposal includes a specific delivery date for your project. Rush delivery (48 hours) is available on most photography sessions for an additional 25%.
13.Who owns the photos?
Copyright stays with the studio under Australian law. You receive a usage licence — personal, small business, or commercial — that grants you the rights to use the images for the agreed purposes. The licence scope is confirmed in your proposal. Personal and family work follows different copyright rules under section 35(5) of the Copyright Act — if you're booking a private session, the licensing details are clearly explained in your agreement.
14.Can I print, share, and use the images however I want?
You can use the images for everything within your licence scope — website, social, print, marketing, internal comms — for the agreed duration. Usage beyond that scope (paid advertising campaigns, third-party distribution, broadcast) requires a licence upgrade, which we're happy to scope out if your needs change after the shoot.
15.What if I want more shoots after the first one?
Returning clients book at 10% off the base rate. Most clients come back — new menu, new staff, new project, new season — and the relationship works because the eye stays consistent across every shoot. If you're thinking about ongoing content needs, the Retainer package is built for that cadence.
